XXL SHEDS teamed up with local builders, Endura Building, to provide a cost effective and efficient design for a covered outdoor learning area (COLA) to two existing full size basketball courts at a high School in Gosford, NSW.

This structure successfully utilises XXL SHEDS’ unique SMRT® hybrid design solution for the portal frame structure to achieve clear spans extending the full length of a basketball court and protecting students from sun and the elements whilst they play.

This unique hybrid design is a key element to the success of the design being able to increase spans whilst keeping the costs within budgets. The ever expanding success stories is live evidence the technology delivered by XXL SHEDS in its designs and product delivery is their clients’ needs whilst staying within budget perimeters.

The NSW Education department has now endorsed the XXL SHEDS SMRT® hybrid deign and we will see many more NSW COLA building using XXL SHEDS technology in future. The staff and students at the school are over the moon with the end product of their COLA building and extremely pleased at the how efficiently the project was run by Endura Building with little or no disruptions to the school operations.
